Praveen Kumar of India soared to gold in the men’s high jump T64 at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, clearing 2.08 meters. The 21-year-old from Noida celebrated his second consecutive Paralympic medal, adding to his Tokyo silver. Born with a shorter leg, Praveen Kumar made history as the second Indian to win gold in Paralympic high jump, following Mariyappan Thangavelu. His remarkable jump of 2.08 meters surpassed his Tokyo personal best of 2.07 meters, outpacing five competitors for the victory.
